NIKOLE HINTZ- LYON, M.S., LAC, NCC
Nikole is a National Certified Counselor with NBCC and Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). She has a passion and heart for mental and behavioral health. It is her desire to be able to provide a safe environment for her clients and families by helping them feel empowered through the therapeutic process. Nikole assists her clients' by teaching and providing tools using solution focused and evidence based psychotherapeutic approaches, while helping encourage her clients to prioritize their mental health needs. In doing so, her hope for her clients is that they will have a progressive successful, healthy, sense of peace and whole self. Nikole treats a wide variety of behavioral and mental health needs both for adults and children. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) through EMDRIA.
She holds a Post Graduate degree in Childhood and Adolescent Disorders, Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (2010) from Grand Canyon University. Nikole has a specialty/scope working with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder and an understanding of the female phenotype. She understands the enormous need for support and services for the child and family and how these disorders can be complex for the family system as a whole, as a mother of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Nikole works with families’ by educating, supporting and advocating. She also screens and evaluates children that may have Autism Spectrum Disorder or at risk. Nikole received certification through Phoenix Children's Hospital as an EAC team member to administer ADOS testing. This test is known to be the "gold standard" in assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder. This allows the child and family to receive early access to care.
Nikole is a former board member of AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiner’s Office (AZBBHE). She has also sat on the Substance Abuse Credentialing committee and the Rules and Subcommittee for AZBBHE. Nikole is a committe member of Arizona Autism Network (AZANOW) a west valley network that provides resources and education to special needs families’.
She also holds First Responders and Military with the upmost respect and has a heart and mission to serve them and their families. Providing an environment that is safe, understanding, non judgmental while assisting them in putting their own care first and supporting their healing process.
Nikole feels blessed to be a part of an agency that has a heart to love and serve people.
